Level 3 Teaching Assistant

We are looking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our passionate and hardworking team at Inspire Academy, as we seek to enhance our curriculum offer to support pupils who need an alternative pathway. By working closely with colleagues, you will support pupils’ academic and SEMH needs by delivering a differentiated curriculum and specific interventions to enhance pupils’ personal development.

You will possess GCSE grade A-C (or equivalent) in English and maths and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or be willing to obtain this. In addition, you will have experience of successfully working with children and young people who have SEMH needs.

Inspire Academy is a SBMAT alternative provision that supports secondary aged pupils who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs (SEMH). Inspire is situated on York High School’s site and serves York High School and Millthorpe School. The provision has up to 30 KS3 and KS4 pupils and delivers a broad and balanced academic curriculum, enhanced by personalised SEMH interventions.

  • Grade 6 Level 1-4 (£26,223 to £28,725 per annum) pro rata; Actual annual salary £16,004.34 to £17,531.36
