The South Bank Academy Trust aims to provide an excellent education to the young people served by its academies.
The Trust is governed by five Members and a Board of 10 Trustees. The Members appoint the Trustees and also have the power to dismiss them. The Trust Board can also co-opt Trustees to the Board. The Trustees delegate powers to the Local Governing Boards and also appoint Governors. The Local Governing Board can also co-opt Governors. The powers delegated are detailed in our Scheme of Delegation, which can be found on the Trust Policies page of the website.
Our current Trust Board consists of Trustees with skills in finance, legal matters, human resources and school governance.
As well as these elements of Trust governance there is a Headteacher Group and Local Governing Board of all our academies.

The Education and Standards Committee monitors the work of the academies in the Trust and supports the work of the Local Governing Bodies in holding their academies to account and encouraging improvement.
