Knavesmire Primary School is an outstanding Primary school based in the South Bank area of York. We are looking to recruit a school administration officer to join our small friendly school office team.

No two days are the same in this busy and rewarding role, duties include:

  • Providing office support to parents, staff and children 
  • Being responsible for nursery funding and admissions as well as main school admissions
  • Arranging cover for absences as required and maintaining absence records 
  • Keeping computer databases up to date with safeguarding information
  • Collecting and inputting schools data such as school census information
  • Managing the school’s MIS system and school website
  • Being ready to learn and implement other administrative tasks that are required

Desired skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office packages and school systems such as Parentpay, MIS etc
  • A knowledge of safeguarding

  • To have a good level of initiative and a willingness to learn

  • Answering phones & taking phone messages and passing them on as appropriate

Desired skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a happy, confident telephone manner
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Reliable with excellent timekeeping skills

Knavesmire Primary School is an outstanding primary school based in the South Bank area of York. We are seeking to recruit an after school cleaner for 3 hours per evening between the hours of 3pm and 6pm.

  • Duties include working as part of the team to clean the school, emptying bins, hoovering, polishing and general cleanliness.
  • To carry out periodic cleaning tasks (usually during holiday periods) which includes high level dusting, wall washing, removing chewing gum from under desks and tables, cleaning the inside surfaces of all windows, cleaning behind radiators, removing curtains and blinds for cleaning, dusting picture frames and other similar duties.
